General loading and fridge-use instructions – Lievaart Expeditie
Flowers, plants, bees:
- Flowers: transport at 6–8 °C.
- For flower transport at 25 °C or above, the front doors must be closed.
- Plants: minimum 18 °C, never cool.
- With plants at 18 °C and outdoor temperatures below zero: close the front door.
- In summer with plants: if the inside temperature ≥ 25 °C, set the fridge to 25 °C to avoid exceeding that value.
- Flowers and plants together without a curtain? Written authorisation from planning is required.
- Bees: transport cooled and well-ventilated together with flowers; always ask planning for instructions.
- Constantly check the temperature on the fridge display (and on Samsara for Lievaart trucks).
- When raining: front door closed.
- In winter: 2 hours before loading, bring the truck body to 15 °C to avoid humidity.
Fruit, vegetables, foliage:
- Always measure the product temperature with a thermometer and write the temperature on the CMR.
- Follow the sender’s instructions, but never below 4 °C.
- Pre-cooled goods: front door closed, back door open.
- Warm goods (directly from the field): open the front door as well (close only if it rains); lower the temperature gradually (every 4 hours), always max 5 °C lower than the sensor, never below 4 °C. After 30 minutes start the defrost manually.
- Pallets with open products (not packed in boxes) must be covered with cardboard so the air does not blow directly onto the products and freeze them.
- Load 2 pallets on the right and 2 on the left, secure them with load bars.
